Day 1: Arrive Cairo
Arrive at Cairo International Airport, where you will be assisted through customs, collected and transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day can be spent exploring the vibrancy of the region’s cultural and artistic centre. While Al-Qahirah is the official name of Cairo in Arabic, Egyptians often refer to it simply as Misr, or "The City of A Thousand Minarets". Overnight in Cairo.
Day 2: Cairo
After breakfast start exploring with a visit to the Pyramids. First on the agenda is the Oldest, Largest and Only survivor of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World – The Great Pyramid of Cheops. You will also visit the Pyramid of Chephren and Mycerinus, as well as the Great Sphinx of Giza. In the afternoon, an informative visit to the Papyrus Institute, followed by a shopping trip to the Papyrus Museum and Perfume Factory. Overnight in Cairo.
Day 3: Cairo / Aswan / Edfu
After an early breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport where you will board your flight to Aswan. Morning activities in Aswan include a visit to the Aswan High Dam and Temple of Philae; from where you will sail to Kom Ombo. Your afternoon will be spent exploring this Temple, shared by the two gods, Sobek and Haroeris, after which you will sail to Edfu. Full board on boat Overnight in Edfu.(Cruise embarkation days: Wednesdays and Saturdays).
Day 4: Edfu / Esna / Luxor
Spend the morning visiting the Temple of Horus, the second largest temple in Egypt after Karnak and one of the best preserved. The inscriptions on its walls provide important information on language, myth and religion during the Greco-Roman period in ancient Egypt. In the afternoon, sail to Esna, from where you will cross the Nile Lock and sail on towards Luxor. Full board on boat. Overnight in Luxor.
Day 5: Luxor
After breakfast cross to the West Bank of the Nile, from where you will visit The Valley of the Kings in the Theban Necropolis. The valley is known to contain 63 tombs and chambers. Further sights include the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. Spend the rest of the afternoon exploring more of the fascinating sights Luxor has to offer. Full board on boat. Overnight in Luxor.
Day 6: Luxor / Cairo
After enjoying breakfast whilst sailing along the Majestic Nile, you will be transferred to Luxor International Airport, from where you will fly back to Cairo. Upon arrival, your representative will collect and transfer you back to your hotel. This is the last chance to appreciate the mystical attraction of Egypt which has been enticing generations of visitors. Overnight in Cairo.
Day 7: Depart Cairo
After breakfast at your hotel in Cairo, you will be transferred to Cairo International Airport for your return flight out of Egypt.
