Day 1: Essaouira
On your arrival at Marrakesh airport you will be transferred to your hotel in Essaouira. Once you have checked in the rest of the day is yours to become familiar with your new surroundings. Essaouira is a coastal town with character and a great place to discover the appeal of Morocco. Inside the walled Medina are narrow lanes, whitewashed houses, attractive squares and an arty influence prevails. Overnight at hotel.

Day 2: Essaouira
The sandy beach stretches out for 10 km, and in some areas it is a hive of activity. Due to the coastal wind it is good for water sports such as windsurfing and kitesurfing. Soccer and basketball is played at the north end and it's also perfect for walking as there's plenty of space to get away from it all. If you want to sunbathe out of the wind your hotel terrace will be the ideal spot. Overnight at hotel.

Day 3: Essaouira
The town has a great selection of eateries to try out with a wonderful mix of Moroccan and Middle Eastern flavours. The restaurants are richly decorated with colourful textiles and delicate lighting. Choose fresh grilled fish down at the Port for lunch, or you can buy your own fish at the market and take it to one of the grill stands where they will add salad and bread for a small fee. Day 4: Essaouira
The town has an abundance of shops, galleries and artisan workshops. This area has a long history for attracting artists, musicians and film makers from all over the world hence the eclectic mix of things to buy and see. You will find paintings, woodcarvings, carpets, rugs, jewellery, brassware, handmade shoes, vibrant fabrics, oils, herbs and spices among many other temptations. Overnight at hotel.

Day 5: Essaouira
There is some beautiful countryside and some fascinating historic towns to visit surrounding Essaouira. The nearby Berber village of Diabat is a good place to start. Here you can enjoy the rural scenary and quiet beach on a horse or a camel. The Argan Woods, Thuya Forests and Anti Atlas Mountains are all within reach and great areas to explore. Overnight at hotel.

Day 6: Essaouira
A visit to a Hammam is quite an experience and something not to be missed during your stay. There are several in town and are normally separated into male and female. It's a traditional public bathhouse and a very social affair. You begin in the hot room, then the masseuse will vigorously scrub you clean, and lastly you can relax in the tepid room. Overnight at hotel.

Day 7: Essaouira
The sunsets are memorable. The best place to enjoy them is on a hotel balcony overlooking the sea with a drink. The night life in Essaouira is fairly low key and centred around the restaurants. There are a few bars some of which have inviting roof terraces and live music. Overnight at hotel.

Day 8: Essaouira
After breakfast at the hotel and checking out you will be transferred to Marrakesh airport for your flight home.
